Well, that didn't last long... again

In my last post I wrote:

My Traveler’s Notebook is reborn, my interest in roleplaying has been rekindled and I have another reason not to reach for my phone. I think we can call that a win.

I should really learn not to make proclamations like that!

As you can probably guess if you have read any of my other posts, things have once again changed. It’s out with the old and in with the new, which in this case means that I am no longer using my Traveler’s Notebook to record solo roleplaying game sessions, but instead, have started using it as a photo journal

The insert I’m using is one of the freebie 60 page dot grid ones I got from GoodInkpressions as an apology for my original order being delayed. It has white 68gsm Tomoe River paper, which so far has proven very nice to write on with a Uni One gel pen. The month headers are stickers from Chillipaper on Etsy.

Photos are printed on standard 100gsm printer paper on an ageing Canon Pixma inkjet printer and stuck in with glue tape. Ultimate quality isn’t the point here, but rather it’s to just have pictures to accompany, or be the subject of, the writing.

I started putting this together this month, so I went back through my sketchbook images for this year and backfilled for January and February. March I’m doing as the month progresses, but in order to not waste too much paper, I’m printing photos in batches, which means I’m not currently writing entries in real time, so to speak. I want to do that though, so I need to figure out a way to mark out space for the photos. I have both a small stencil and pencil board with rulers on them that I could use to mark out boxes on the page. I’m just going to have to try it out to see how it goes.

So there you have it. A complete change of use for my Traveler’s Notebook. Lets see how long I keep it up.
